About Guy Portelli

Rising head and shoulders above his contemporaries Guy Portelli`s work is found all over Britain, the US and Europe, in private, public and corporate collections. Somehow with all his commissions and own inspirations he manages to find time to work on the committee of the RBS and write books on the sculptors of the 20th Century with equal skill and panache, as well as organizing art shows and events.

Artist Statement of Guy Portelli

Guy Portelli`s Personal Statement
Sculpture is a fine art form. Simply because it serves nothing by itself and has little asked of it, but that it exists.

If it gives pleasure, provokes a response, challenges preconceptions, embraces the past, present and future. Lives happily in lots surroundings and gives us a different perspective on our world, has a strong concept and is technically well executed. Then the artist has succeeded.

Customer comment on 'Red Kite (Steel Bird of Prey life size garden sculptures)' by Ramsay Dick
Hi Peter, The Red Kite arrived today and WOW !! Its fantastic, I have spoken to the artist today to congratulated him on his work. Its in place in our garden and my family are soooooo thrilled with it, he certainly is a clever guy and very talented. I know we will get many more positive comments throughout the summer and can only say a very big thank you for the opportunity to own something that we would not think of having. Thanks once again X,
Mrs D. Radford, Tring, Hertfordshire, United Kingdom.
